Bleeding Gums Treatments:

Bleeding gums is a common problem and the reason needless to say is unhygenic oral health. One of the major cause of bleeding gums is gingivitis, which is an inflammation of the gums. Faulty oral hygeine, leads to bacterial growth, inflammation and swelling. The gum may feel like sponge and blood comes out everytime any pressure is put on it. If not administered on time, it might lead to tooth decay, felling of teeth etc.





Here are some bleeding gum home remedies:  


Milk...

If you are not intolerant to lactose and have no other problems relating to drinking milk, then it is one of the best home solutions. Milk is rich in Vitamin C and, therefore, can be  used as an effective home remedy. However, bear in mind that milk is also a source of fat. When you take milk, fat may stick to your gum which is not good for healthy gums. It is, therefore, very important to brush your teeth after taking milk. Dentists advise not to take milk one hour before going to bed.

Lemon...

The acidic juice of lemons can be useful in treating infections of the gums. It also contains vitamin C, which can help boost the infection-fighting powers of your gum tissue. 


Raw Vegetables...

Fresh and raw vegetables are great for overall health improvement. Vegetables are rich in vitamins and low in fats and calories. Chewing raw vegetables help to improve blood circulation in gums and thus may help to reduce and treat the bleeding of gums.

Green Tea...

Green tea is also a bleeding gum home remedies. Drink green tea and one can also gargle with it. This kills germs, reduces swelling and is one of the quickest treatment for bleeding gums. 



Black Seed Oil...


It is also known as miracle cure to treat any condition. It has ant-microbial properties and fights against harmful bacteria. Brush your teeth and then massage your gums with a few drops of black seed oil. You can also swish the oil around your mouth and then spit. Alternatively, add a few drops of black seed oil into a warm glass of water to make the most effective oral hygiene solution.



Aloe-vera...

Apply aloe vera every night and massage the area with it. Leave it on the gums overnight. Symptoms are believed to reduce second day onwards. 





Ginger...

Best bleeding gum home remedies is to massage the gum with freshly grated ginger. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, with cures swelling, pain and infection.


   
Citrus Fruits...

Deficiency in vitamin C can be the cause of gum diseases like gingivitis etc. Fruit like orange, lemon, broccoli and cabbage are the best and rich sources of Vitamin C. Use plenty of them to make up for the deficiency. Alternatively, go for health supplement providing vitamin C.                                                                    
Honey...

Honey's antibiotic properties make it a great remedy for gum disease, which involves bacterial growth on the gums. After you brush your teeth, use a clean finger to sweep honey across your upper and lower gums. Try not to lick or swallow the honey for a few minutes as it needs a little time to work. You can use this treatment as often as you like without worrying about side effects or bad taste.

Garlic and honey paste...

Garlic is a very powerful anti-biotic. When combined with manuka honey, it forms a very powerful anti-bacterial tonic. Rub the garlic-honey paste on the gums. Please note that you will feel burning sensation. In order to reduce the burning sensation mix half a clove of garlic into one tablespoon of raw honey and apply the paste.

Burdock Root...
                                                                
Steep 1 teaspoon of dry burdock root in a cup of water until it cools to room 
temperature. use the liquid as a rinse, swishing it all around your mouth and in-between all of your teeth. You can also make a mouthwash within exactly the same manner by using a smattering of red rose petals.


Extra Virgin Olive Oil...


EVOO contains oleic acid and other flavonoids which are anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidants. If you gums are inflamed, EVOO is one of the best treatment. Take a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and swish around your mouth for a couple of seconds and then spit. It will wash away all the toxins. Repeat three times a day for best results.


Warm Water...

Home remedy to stop them from bleeding is to argle with warm water, put one spoon lemon juice and a pinch of salt in it. 

Cranberry Juice...

Cranberry Juice has anti bacterial properties and can help in fighting against gum problems. Bear in mind that the cranberry Juice sold in the supermarkets is either too much diluted or mixed with sugar. It is best to have home made fresh juice.

Anti-Biotic...

Eating synthetic anti-biotic is not natural and bears many side effects. We do not recommend eating anti-biotic in the drug form. However, your doctor or dentist may prescribe anti-biotic pills or capsules as a last resort.
